Job Description:

Job Responsibilities: As an Application Support Engineer you will be responsible to support Driscoll’s business applications in Production environment with primary focus on DAX. Work with Application Support team, Test Engineers and clients to validate readiness of Build code deployment to Production. You also will be providing functional support, advice and coaching for business users of both, custom developed and third-party applications. 

Essential Experience:

- Technical support &/or Dynamics AX functionality support (AX2009 and higher) 
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server platform, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server database 

Responsibilities related to MS AX Dynamics Administration: 
• Work closely with the Business users on request to generate Reports, User Access Review and Security group changes.
• Configuring and maintaining Dynamics AX administrative tasks such as (user management, configuration, deployment)
• Technical responsibilities including multi-tiered application support, basic AD administration and overall environment responsibility in multi-instance AX environment
• Maintain and enforce security policies and procedures aligned with best practices for segregation of duties and lead other process improvement initiatives.
• Perform Microsoft Dynamics AX Compliance Center configuration, administration, and maintenance.
• Manage security in the Application Integration Framework as needed

Interpersonal Skills:
• Customer focused
• Works with support partners to provide 24x7 support and Level 3 escalation
• Strong Technical knowledge 
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with international customers (cultural awareness)

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Business, or equivalent work experience
• Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedure for supporting business application in a complex and dynamic operations environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX Products
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, web-based application, handheld RF devices and remote connectivity software a plus.
• Experience in ERP support experience, especially with substantial financial knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent learning skills with the ability to quickly pick up new technologies
• Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills, self-motivation and must have a strong team spirit.
• Ideally a candidate will also have an understanding of business concepts e.g. A candidate would understand what is meant by “ensure users that can post invoices are not allowed to pay vendors”
• 3-5 years of experience as a Support Professional in IT field or as an IT Technical Consultant.

Driscoll's is looking for a Production Planning & Inventory Analyst for our Corralitos Nursery, located on the beautiful central coast of California. This position creates and maintains short and long range production, schedules and capacity plans and ensures inventory accuracy for plants, materials, and packaging within Driscoll-owned Corralitos, CA nursery locations.  This position is part of a World Class Nursery Operation that ensures annual plant orders are met within quality standards, on time, and in volume. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 
Bachelor’s degree in Ag Sciences, Horticulture or Accounting
At least three years experience in production planning and scheduling in either a production or nursery environment preferred
Additional experience in production auditing and inventory management is required (math skills, detail orientation, problem solving, investigation and ability to resolve issues)
Must be self-motivated and have a proven track record of implementing and producing production plans and implementing inventory control processes and procedures
Must have demonstrated competency using computer applications such as Access, Excel, Word, Microsoft Dynamics, etc
Participates and works well in a team environment and is comfortable presenting production plans to other departments and managers
Must be able to inform others of necessary information in a timely manner - effective verbal and written communications in English a must, proficiency in Spanish a plus
Must be willing to work with a flexible work schedule, including weekends as needed; some travel is required
Experience in a Nursery environment and/or APICS CPIM certification is highly desired

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Generate and maintain long range (18 month) production plans and near term (3week) schedules to support plant propagation requirements.
2. Responsible for the order acknowledgement process. Analyzes requirements, assesses capabilities, makes and implements recommendations to meet current and future plant orders.
3. Represents the Nursery at cross-department short and long-range production planning meetings.
4. Perform periodic analysis of nursery short and long range space requirements.
5. Investigate inventory discrepancies and out of balance issues. Ensures timely input and proper justification for all inventory adjustments. As needed, recommends and implements new inventory management procedures.
6. Generates and provides inventory accuracy reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
7. Reviews, augments and maintains production planning, scheduling and inventory management systems, forms and procedures manuals. Directly participates in the improvement of planning scheduling and inventory management processes. 
8. Exhibits the company values and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of colleagues, customers and growers. Performs other duties as instructed

Interviewing Tips 




All about You:
  • Know your passion, skills, and strengths that define your personal brand. Have the ability to effectively communicate what makes you unique and relevant for the role.
  • Make sure to update your resume with your DSA experience. Your resume should reflect your personal brand and highlight your achievements and experience related to the role. Double check spelling and have someone else proof read for you before it’s put in front of a potential new manager. 
  • Dress the part – dress appropriately – show you are serious about the interview process and understand the nature of the business unit you are interviewing in. If you don’t know – ask your recruiter. Bring your interview outfit as a change of clothes if needed. Be remembered for your interview, not your attire.
Practice/Brush up:
  • Nervous, rusty or just want to proactively prepare? Check out behavioral interviewing tips on YouTube, Google or even Pinterest. 
  • Be prepared – research the role or prepare yourself however you would if it were an outside opportunity. Be knowledgeable but not a know it all. 
  • Ask questions! Prepare questions in advance, this is your chance to interview them and get the inside scoop.
Follow-up:

  • Stay professional and courteous with respect to the process.
  • Thank you notes are always appreciated, going around the recruiter and directly inquiring with the hiring manager or interviewers – not so much

THE ROLE: As a global shared service partner to all business units the Support Technician II provides the World’s leading supplier of fresh berries with operations in 18 countries on 5 continents with leading edge technical solutions and desktop support.  The Support Tech II knows Windows Server System Administration, understands network protocols, phone systems, tablet and mobile devices, hardware and software, documents details and has the willingness to learn and apply new policies and technologies.  

In addition to a solid technical foundation the Support Tech II must be able to effectively communicate with high levels of initiative, judgment, & diplomacy to all users, customers, growers, and government officials via phone, email or in person to understand, investigate, troubleshoot and resolve support tickets.  Having a good sense of business acumen with strong organization, critical thinking and prioritization abilities are important as is the ability to work individually or on a team within a fast paced 24/7 rotation environment.  In effort to provide global support the ability to travel 10% of the time is required; locally, across the US and into Mexico. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

The Director, Global Enterprise Applications and Support is an executive member of the Driscoll’s Information Technology Leadership Team reporting to the CIO. This position will lead and support a team of Director and Manager direct reports in the design, implementation and support of global enterprise business applications. He/She will ensure operations and deliverables of Custom In House Applications, Mobile Applications, Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Cloud Solutions (SaaS) applications are delivered in alignment to the global business strategy. 

This key leadership position requires the ability to develop effective global teams, manage multiple initiatives, build/maintain strong relationships and facilitate positive and solution-oriented discussions with key cross functional business stakeholders, understand supporting systems, and organizational and compliance requirements across multiple geographies globally.

This position will direct the efforts of a global enterprise development, implementation and support organization that is a combination of internal employees and multiple partnerships with global systems vendors. The support team is distributed across multiple geographic locations including North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia/Pacific, and South America.

• Passport required, including the ability to travel internationally without restrictions, business travel: domestic currently estimated at up to 20% of time, with occasional international travel required


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the Performance Improvement Coach Certification program as well as the deployment, assignment, and management of internally certified Process Improvement Coaches. Manage CPI functional direct reports, currently CPI Planner, additional staff in the future. Mentor managers in the application and management of CPI tools and methodologies

• Partner with the Continuous Improvement Council and The Executive Team to select and prioritize improvement projects and build a strong improvement strategy.

• Prepare the annual budget for the CI department and projects. Responsible for reporting of cost/benefit analysis for CI projects in conjunction with finance.

• Accelerate adoption of process improvement efforts throughout the organization by partnering with Human Resources to create and execute a detailed training strategy.

• Ensure that communication around CI is comprehensive, efficient, and timely.

• In partnership with the PMO, manage and govern a project pipeline and governance for all commissioned process improvement projects; must integrate and regularly update project pipeline to maintain alignment with business priorities.

• Support development of a repository of process improvement-related documents. Create and maintain document/material management governance that is in compliance with license agreements.

• Continually assess how to encourage enthusiasm and support of CI at Driscoll’s

Hiring: Support Technician II

JOB SUMMARY:    Second level Desktop Support of PC users. In accordance with Driscoll’s support policies provides: support for PC and general network issues, support for essential server systems; management of IT projects; training of Service Desk staff.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

       Associate’s degree in computer related field of study; three years of increasingly responsible experience supporting PC’s in a complex network environment; certification in applicable computer and network support functions is highly desirable
       Experience with Windows Server System Administration required
       Working knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI 7 layer model, and simple network routing and switching technologies is required
       Experience with troubleshooting WANs, VPNs and Firewalls a plus
       Demonstrable superior interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
       Ability to manage multiple priorities; self-starter
       A California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program are also required.  
       Ability to work variable scheduling, including nights and weekends

           
 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:                 
  
1.      Desktop Support: Provides 2nd level support to users on a variety of issues. Responds to telephone calls, e-mail and personnel requests for technical support. Utilizes Service Desk software to track and monitor problems to insure a timely resolution according to Service Level Agreements.  Supports and maintains user account information.  Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems.  Shares in rotation of after business-hour response to requests for help.  NOTE:  Support work, major installations, and system or software upgrades must frequently be done during evenings, weekends, or holidays to minimize disruptions or to provide after-hour support. A support technician may be called in to work on short notice for emergency conditions or may be on-call for after-hour support activities.  Technical support is provided to locations remote from the normal work site, so a willingness to travel is required.
 2.      Hardware: Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals both locally and by traveling to other locations. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware systems.
3.      Software: Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems
4.      Active Directory Administration: Administers computer and user accounts through Active Directory, administers distribution and security groups, create and disable user accounts, organize user and computer accounts in OUs, change and reset user passwords.
5.      Network: Works with Network Engineers to install, configure and maintain organization’s network (LAN and WAN).  Supports network operating system and supporting software.
6.      Phone System:  Provides maintenance, upgrades and support for corporate telephone system(s) and mobile phones.
7.      Projects: Manages and executes projects for the IT department, primarily related to Service Desk areas of responsibility.
8.      Training: Provide training to IT staff on support procedures and other subjects related to technical support. Continually educates self on current and future trends in Network & PC related hardware and software.
9.      Documentation: Creates documentation for or related to IT projects, system upgrades, technical support procedures, frequently asked questions, and other Service Desk related subjects.
10.  General:  Follows Company policies and practices while representing Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, governmental agencies, growers, customers, etc.  Ensures the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials.  Other duties as assigned.
