Driscoll's berries at top of the class

Results of independent consumer trial suggest Driscoll's blackberry varieties score well in terms of taste and appearance.

Consumers have voted with their tastebuds and given high marks to blackberry varieties marketed by leading berry supplier Driscoll's.

During an independent tasting session held as part of market and consumer research activity being organised by Dutch company The Opinion Group, consumers were asked to give marks for overall first impression before consumption, with between 85 and 92 per cent of the panel giving Driscoll’s blackberries the highest possible mark.

Regarding freshness of the product in terms of taste and appearance, between 83 to 92 per cent gave top marks to the tested Driscoll’s varieties.  Overall, the aspect that rated the highest result was colour, with an 89 to 96 per cent approval rate.

One of the many remarks that were received was how delicious the Driscoll’s varieties were, the company noted, with one respondent even mentioning: “I have never seen such beautiful blackberries before".
